Levittown Woman Charged with $10K in SNAP Fraud

A 34-year-old Levittown woman is facing a felony welfare fraud charge after authorities alleged she illegally obtained nearly $11,000 in food assistance while hiding tens of thousands of dollars in earned income, according to court records.

Amber Bremme, 34, was charged July 14 by the Pennsylvania Office of State Inspector General with a felony count of fraudulent obtainment of food stamps and assistance.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Bremme unlawfully received $10,970 in Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits between March 1, 2024, and February 28, 2025.

Authorities allege Bremme failed to report income earned from her position as a registered behavior therapist at Sunny Days Early Childhood in Manalapan, New Jersey, where she earned $27.54 an hour. Court records indicate Bremme earned $52,296.18 from the employer between March 8, 2024, and February 21, 2025.

According to official records, Bremme submitted a public assistance application in February 2024 and a semi-annual reporting form in August 2024 omitting her employment and wages from Sunny Days. While Bremme reported income from a second employer, Hart Home Health Care, authorities said  she left her New Jersey employment unlisted on both documents.

Officials with the Department of Human Services’ Bucks County office in Bristol stated Bremme would not have been eligible to receive the $10,970 in SNAP benefits had her full household income been accurately disclosed.

A summons was issued for Bremme to appear in court. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 19, 2026, before Magisterial District Judge Kevin P. Wagner. Court records show no attorney is currently listed for Bremme.
