Bristol Borough Police say the owner of the dog who attacked two people earlier this week will be charged with Failure to Contain and Harboring a Dangerous Dog according to a Friday press release.
As previously reported, on Wednesday night at around 7:30 p.m. a local dog who resides at a home on the 120 block of Otter Street attacked two men.
Police say the dog jumped through a screen door, ran and attacked both men, with one shooting off his hand gun at the ground to scare the attacking canine away. Both men were treated at Lower Bucks Hospital for bite wounds and released.
Police said the gun used to scare off the dog is legal but the investigation is ongoing.

A Bristol man shot of his gun to scare a dog off who attacked him and allegedly bit two other people Wednesday evening.
Borough Police are investigating a dog attacking, and biting a total of two men in the area of Swain and Otter Streets, in which one man was taken to the hospital due to the attack
The dog attacked the man as he was making his way to a local store close to 8 p.m. sources said.
The aggressive “black” dog reportedly bite two other people as it ran off after the gun shot was fired, a source from the area said.
A family member said the bite victim needs stitches and a tetanus shot and was at a local medical facility.
Police were observed interviewing witnesses and reviewing video footage from home cameras to identify the attacking dog, a source said.
No word on whether the dog was found, but police know who the owner is multiple sources told LBS overnight.

I was won of the men attacked. I did nothing to provoke this viscious dog, and latched on twice. As a dog owner and lover this is hard to say, but this dog needs to be out to sleep, if you can leash or muzzle a dog of this nature, and let it attack multiple people, you don’t deserve to own any animals.
