Bristol Twp Mom Charged with Drug Related Offenses as a Result of Accident Investigation

The mother who was struck on Rt 13 with her infant son in August, has been charged with with two drug related offenses stemming from the accident investigation by Bristol Borough Police.

Kelly Ann Lewis 38 of Bristol Township has been charged with intent to possess a controlled substance and use/possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a criminal complaint.  ti

According to the criminal complaint, after being struck with her infant son on Rt 13 on August 21 by now charged Brian Carter, Sgt Joe Moors instructed Officer Charles Palmer to follow up at Jefferson Torresdale Hospital to check on the status of Lewis and her son. Upon arrival at the medical facility, the physician supervising her treatment informed police there was suspected heroin found in her bra.

Palmer took the suspected substance as evidence and proceeded to search her clothing and belongings for additional evidence. Palmer retrieved the following as evidence:

1. Four blue paper bags stamped ‘Ric Flair’, containing a white substance.
2. Two torn blue paper bag stamped ‘White Face’ containing white residue
3. One torn blue paper bag stamped ‘Trust Me’ containing white residue
4. One torn paper bags containing white residue
5. Two torn paper blue bags containing residue
6. One torn blue paper bag containing residue
7. One torn paper bag stamped ‘Jokers Wild’ containing white residue
8. Another torn paper bag with white residue stamped but clearly
9. One cut straw containing residue.

On November 10 Police submitted all of the above for testing, court records show and one month later NMS Labs issued a report saying traces of fentanyl, heroin,and methamphetamine were found.

As reported earlier today, Brian Carter, also of Bristol Twp was charged for allegedly driving drunk when he struck Lewis and her son

Lewis is being charged by mail summons and has no preliminary hearing date set as of story publication.
