A New Jersey man was charged earlier this week for attacking a paramedic at Jefferson Bucks Hospital when asked to to put on a mask.
According to police the on Monday, February 21st, officers responded to Jefferson Bucks Hospital, Langhorne for a report of a male who assaulted a paramedic.
Police charged Jeffrey Choi, 42, of Ft. Lee, New Jersey after the paramedic identified him as the male who grabbed his throat after refusing to put on a mask.
Another medic and additional staff at the hospital were able to secure Mr. Choi prior to police arrival.ย Police arrived on scene and took Mr. Choi into custody.ย ย He was arraigned before Judge Wertman and sent to Bucks County Prison in lieu of 10% of $100,000 bail.
Choi’sย bail was reduced after a hearing on Friday, to 10 percent of $30,000.
He is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing on March 8 in front of District Judge Jan Vislosky.
