Bristol Woman Rescued from Mini Van by First Responders Says She is “Grateful”

The Bristol woman rescued by area first responders Saturday afternoon after her mini van was plowed into on Garden Street said Sunday she’s truly grateful for all the help and words of support she’s received.

Ciara Anderson, 18, soon to be 19, was the woman firefighters and emergency services personnel rescued Saturday

Police said Sunday night she was in serious condition at a local medical facility.

Family members said Anderson, with two other victims are at St Mary’s Hospital, one victim at St Christopher’s Children’s Hospital, and another victim at Jefferson Hospital.

I am truly thankful everyone survived the crash, Anderson said from her hospital bed Sunday.

I want to thank all the entire rescue team who helped get me out and the Bristol Borough,  State Police and investigators from the District Attorney’s office, she said.

Anderson said a woman first responder, sat in the adjacent passenger seat and “helped me a whole lot”

Anderson suffered a number of injuries and had surgery earlier Sunday, family said.

As of Sunday night no one has been charged for the crash. Lower Bucks Source was told by witnesses on the scene, three young men were taken into custody immediately after the accident  as they tried to flee the area.

Chief of Police Joe Moors said late Saturday the investigation into the crash is active, ongoing.

Moors said four victims were in serious condition at area trauma facilities as of Saturday night.

Moors said he would not comment on specifics about the investigation but did provide general information about what led up to the crash

Meanwhile, community sources told Lower Bucks Source early Sunday that the evidence found on Old Rt 13 was a Glock handgun and some rounds.

The sources said officers were patrolling the area, when the weapon was spotted laying on roadway.

Police would not confirm what evidence was found at the location. Neighbors said they were told by Officers the area was being taped off because it’s a “crime scene.”

The first responders who extricated Anderson from the mini van were loudly cheered by bystanders as she was  placed onto a stretcher for transport to the hospital.
