Saturday Morning Bird Walks. Saturday Morning Bird Walks are offered from September through November AND March through May at 7:30am. FREE. Bring your binoculars if you have a pair! Meet at the Welcome Kiosk outside of the SLNC Visitors’ Center.
Kindness Rock Garden Event. Saturday, September 23rd, 10am-11:30am. Families & Individuals are welcome to join SLNC & the Kiwanis of Levittown-Bristol to help us grow our Garden of Kindness! We will be painting, so please feel free to wear a smock, apron, or old shirt. This special series is Sponsored by the Kiwanis of Levittown-Bristol and is FREE to participants. Fall Equinox Celebration ~ Concert by Christopher Westfall. Saturday, September 23rd, 7:30pm.
SLNC is pleased to welcome back Singer, Songwriter, Musician, and Nashville Recording Artist, Christopher Westfall, to celebrate with a Folk-Americana Themed Concert!! In addition to his own Music, Chris will be paying tribute to other Artists, such as James Taylor, John Denver, Kenny Loggins, Dan Fogelberg, and More! Concert will be held inside the SLNC Visitors’ Center at 1306 Bath Rd., Bristol, PA 19007. Doors will open at 7pm.

Family-friendly Guided Walk on the SLNC Trails. Sunday, September 24th, 1-2pm. Let’s use our senses to discover and explore all that we can find on the beautiful SLNC Trails! Fall Afterschool Series. If your learner is looking for a fun way to run off some energy after school and learn about Nature while doing it, the Afterschool Series is for you! We have TWO Series this year, and each has different classes. All sessions run from 4 to 5:30pm.
Series One: Tuesdays, 10/10; 10/17; 10/24; & 10/31. Series Two: 11/28; 12/5; 12/12; 12/19.

Fall Homeschool Series. If you are looking for enrichment for your homeschooling lessons, look no further! SLNC offers educational series for students interested in deepening their knowledge of the natural world. We have TWO Fall Series this year, and each has different AM & PM classes! Series One: Wednesdays, 10/11; 10/18; 10/25; & 11/1. Series Two: 11/29; 12/6; 12/13; 12/20.

Day-off from School Camp Days. Why only have Camp in the summer when you can do it in all seasons?! SLNC’s School-year Camp Days are scheduled for days when most schools are off. Each Camp Day provides exciting seasonal adventures for your child (5 – 14 years old). Staff and Campers spend the days exploring the forest, swamps, and marsh in all weather. Day-off Camps for 2023-24 are scheduled for: 9/25; 10/13; 10/16; 11/7; 11/10; 11/22; 12/22; 12/28; 12/29; 1/15; 2/19; 3/28; 3/29; 4/23; & 5/14.

Bird Seed Sales. Bird watching is more fun when you can attract them to your own yard, so fill your feeders with one of our special mixes. “IPR Team” Volunteer Project Day. Saturday, October 21st, 10am-12pm. The “Invasive Plants Removal (IPR) Team” now meets once a month to help clear Invasive Plants from specific areas on the SLNC Grounds/Trails. Each season brings new plants in various degrees of difficulty and will also serve as a learning opportunity! These Project Days also involve planting native plants and trees. The Silver Lake Nature Center, where learning comes naturally, is a 264-acre Nature Preserve located in Bristol Township, Bucks County. It is a facility of the Bucks County Department of Parks & Recreation with additional funding and staffing provided by the Friends of Silver Lake Nature Center nonprofit organization. SLNC is home to over 40 plant and animal species listed as rare, threatened, or endangered in Pennsylvania. Participation in programs helps protect these species and their habitats. The Bucks County Department of Parks and Recreation was established in 1953. The Department is responsible for the acquisition, development, and preservation of open space and regional parks.
