Back in January, YMCA of Bucks and Hunterdon Counties and Metro Esports announced a spring opening of the new esports gaming lounge at the YMCA’s Fairless Hills branch. Spring is here and so is the new Esports lounge and the public is invited to the grand opening of the facility located in the Fairless Hills YMCA.
The YMCA will provide members and community residents with a welcoming and inclusive environment to enjoy gaming, camps and technology skill development regardless of age and ability, said the YMCA in the announcement.
The grand opening is free and open to the public. It will be held on Monday, April 15 from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
YMCA’s Facebook page details the event; At 3:30 p.m., a ribbon cutting ceremony will take place followed by a rivalry match among local schools. An open house concludes the event where one can explore the new facility, meet with the staff, try out the gaming stations, and participate in friendly competitions/demonstrations. Guided tours and gaming tutorials will be provided.
