A 61 year-old Delaware woman is accused of attacking Jefferson Bucks hospital staff members and now faces aggravated assault and harassment charges.
Denise Zobel, of Delaware, sits in Bucks County Correctional Facility in lieu of 10%/$35000 bail. Falls Township Police were dispatched on Monday, April 8, 2024 at 6:35 a.m. to the Emergency Room at Jefferson Bucks Hospital in Langhorne for a report of a disorderly person.
Hospital staff said Zobel had thrown purse and shoes at the staff and attempted to hit one staff member with a closed fist prior to the dispatch of the police , said the affidavit.
Police were directed to Zobel’s room, where an officer offered her a ride to her mother’s address. While helping her from the bed, Zobel threw herself onto the floor and then used her cane to strike a member of the hospital staff, said police.
She was then arrested and transported to Middletown Township.
Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 24, 2024.
