Rep. Joe Hogan is extending an invitation to attend Friday’s bridge dedication ceremony for Staff Sgt. Jae S. Moon. The Trenton Road Bridge in Langhorne will be renamed in Moon’s honor.
The April 19, 2024 dedication ceremony will take place at 10:30 a.m.
Last year, Rep. Joe Hogan (R-Bucks) introduced legislation that would designate a bridge in Middletown Township as the Staff Sgt. Jae S. Moon Memorial Bridge. This Friday, the legislation comes to fruition with a bridge dedication ceremony honoring Moon.
“Staff Sgt. Moon is one of the many local heroes we have here in the 142nd,” Hogan said. “Renaming this bridge after Staff Sgt. Moon is one of the little things we can do to honor the sacrifice he made for our country.”

Moon was assigned to the 2nd Battalion,12th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division out of Fort Carson, Colorado. Moon was killed in action on December 25, 2006 during Operation Iraqi Freedom, according to thefallen.militarytimes.com.
He came to Pennsylvania from South Korea with his family, when he was 3 years old. A 2003 graduate of Neshaminy High School and aspired to be an FBI agent. He had been awarded numerous medals, attained the rank of sergeant, was promoted to squad leader, Hogan said.
“Staff Sgt. Moon gave his life while defending our country,” said Hogan. “I am proud to see Senate Bill 621 signed into law so we can honor Staff Sgt. Moon and his sacrifice.”
