Three businesses had their preliminary and final land development plans approved by Falls Township Board of Supervisors meeting on Monday night.
Cosmos Restaurant and Bar on Trenton Road, is planning to add 3,000 square feet to accommodate a bigger facility for the existing Action Karate martial arts school. Once the construction is completed, attorney Michael Meginniss said Eileenโs Academy of Dance would transition into the karate schoolโs current space, said Falls officials.
As part of the addition, four new trees would be planted which, Meginniss said, is in line with requests from neighbors to allow โclear site access into the parking lot.โ
Next was A&A Machinery Moving.
Albert Lykon, of Lykon Investment Co.,ย at 201 Dean Sievers Place is looking to expand the building for his tenant A&A Machinery Moving who also rents space at 600 Dean Sievers Place. The owners at 600 need the space by September next year and asked Lykon to expand.
โThe building will suit the same amount of employees and will actually result in less traffic on the road,โ Lykon said. โCurrently, theyโre shuttling equipment back and forth each day.โ
Final business looking to expand was Sunbelt Forest Products, which is located at 400 Rock Run Road and intends to build a 8,300-square-foot addition to the existing building, adjacent to the cylinders for which the products are treated.
Tim Duffy, speaking on Sunbelt’s behalf said the property issue is a 500-acre parcel is in the Penn Warner Industrial Park. Sunbelt has produced pressure-treated lumber at the property since the 1980s and would continue to use.
