Its a go for Falls Township Fire Company #1 to expand their location which is located in Fallsington.
Brian Binney of the engineering firm, Pennoni spoke at Monday’s Supervisors’ meeting on behalf of the fire company. Binney said, the proposal is to construct a 2,700-square-foot addition to the fire house, which is located on Yardley Avenue. The extra space would be used to house additional equipment that the fire company plans to purchase in the next several years.
Binney added that a front bay would be constructed to house an additional full-size fire truck and another bay would be on the side which would house their attack truck, some gear racks, a gear room to store their equipment, They will reconfigure their sleeping quarters and bathrooms to allow more people to stay overnight and man the station off-hours.
The board unanimously approved the preliminary and final land development for expansion.
