Borough PD Receives Support from Community in Show of Spirit During Pandemic

Two instances of community support for the Bristol Borough Police Department occurred last week to protect officers on the streets during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Bristol Borough Police received a visit from Tim and Cara Wilson who operate a SERVPRO franchise in Douglasville.

Bristol officials said the two have a number of connections to the Bristol area and wanted to give back to the First Responder Community as they continue providing public safety during the pandemic.

The Wilsons donated their time and equipment disinfecting police vehicles for several local Police Departments, officials said.

This is of great assistance in the continuing battle against the invisible COVID 19 virus, said Bristol Police officials.

First Responders are constantly cleaning and disinfecting vehicles due to the multiple citizen contacts they must make on a daily basis.

In the second example of community spirit, Nicholas Santiago, the owner of Black Sparrow Tattoo on Farragut Ave. in the Borough.  presented Chief Henry with  boxes of surgical gloves.

Santiago felt that he could support the Police Department by donating the gloves since his business has been closed down due to  COVID 19 shut down orders.

The gloves will be put to good use as part of the officers personal protective equipment (PPE), said police officials.

The Bristol Borough Police are appreciative of the support they have received from the community and specifically the support and donation they have received from Black Sparrow Tattoo and the Wilsons.
