The Bristol Borough Supermarket that decided to close after revealing an employee was diagnosed with coronavirus will reopen Monday, according to a statement from store management.
Bristol Selecto originally planned to reopen Easter Sunday according to notices posted at the market’s entrance last week but delayed the plans one more day, store management said.
The supermarket which offers Spanish and American foods to locals, closed when an employee tested positive for the coronavirus earlier this month as Lower Bucks Source reported exclusively.
The slight delay was announced by management Saturday without disclosing a reason for the reopening change, according to a statement posted to its Facebook page.
“We want to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their well wishes and want to let everyone know we have been working hard to make changes prior to opening the store again. We are still working on some things that we hope to implement sooner than later but we do ask everyone to do their part” by practicing social distancing.

Management also said the person diagnosed with COVID-19 “has made a full recovery,” when a local shopper asked about the employees health.
The local market also said it would be helpful for shoppers to wear masks and gloves while patronizing the market. which customers were already doing prior to the market closing.
“We want everyone to be safe. Even if you don’t shop at our location we ask for you to practice these safety methods wherever you go. The more we all do our part the faster we can get back to a normal sense of life. Thank you all and please be safe”
Management also the store new operating hours with the reopening tomorrow. 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. except Sunday’s when they will close at 5 p.m.
