Morrisville Police Reports: Morrisville School District Check “Washed”, Alleged Giant Supermarket Thief Jailed on Multiple Warrants and More

Morrisville Police Reports July 16 to July 22, 2024

Arrest/Warrant – 07/16/24 – Joseph Leaver, age 44, was arrested for Retail Theft warrants for incidents that occurred at the Giant Food Store on multiple dates in June and July.  He was processed and sent to Bucks County Prison.

Theft from Motor Vehicle – 07/16/24 @ 07:55 – Report of change stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 600 block of Hillcrest Avenue.  Value:  $1.25

Warrant/Stolen Property – 07/16/24 @ 13:30 – A Warrant will be issued for Ryan Mahon, age 36, for stealing a GT BMX Bike on 06/13/24 from a home in Hamilton Township, NJ.  The bike was located at the Mega Pawn Shop on W. Bridge Street.  Value:  $165.00

Retail Theft – 07/16/24 @ 16:01 – Report of merchandise stolen from the Giant Food Store on W. Trenton Avenue.  Value:  $443.10

Summons/Simple Assault/Harassment – 07/17/24 @ 06:54 – James Rein, age 58, will receive a court summons for an incident that occurred on the 100 block of Harrison Avenue.

Theft from Motor Vehicle – 07/17/24 @ 09:03 – Report of a toolbox containing tools and a laptop was stolen from a vehicle on the 100 block of Coleman Avenue on 07/15/24.  Value:  $6,500.00

Arrest/Warrant – 07/17/24 @ 14:15 – John Lecomte, age 51, was taken into custody for a Retail Theft warrant for an incident that occurred on 06/07/24.  He was processed and released on 10% of $50,000 bail.

Theft from Motor Vehicle- – 07/17/24 @ 18:22 – Report of money stolen from a vehicle at an apartment complex on the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue.  Value:  $400.00

Attempted Motor Vehicle Theft – 07/18/24 @ 08:26 – Report of the steering column damaged on a Honda CRV and ransacked during the overnight hours of 07/12/24 on the 500 block of Crown Street.

Criminal Mischief to Building – 07/18/24 @ 14:45 – Report of two store front windows damaged overnight at Dunkin Donuts on the unit block of W. Bridge Street.

Criminal Mischief – 07/18/24 @ 16:30 – Report of damage to the field next to the Morrisville Dog Park.

Attempted Motor  Vehicle Theft – 07/19/24 @ 08:15 – Report of the steering column damaged on a Hundai Sonata during the overnight hours at an apartment complex on the 300 block of Plaza Boulevard.

Theft from Motor Vehicle – 07//19/24 @ 09:40 – Report of a wallet, cell phone and numerous tools were stolen from a vehicle at the Quality Inn parking lot on S. Pennsylvania Avenue.  Value:  $3,700.00

Retail Theft – 07/19/24 @ 13:30 – Report of merchandise stolen on 07/18/24 from the Giant Food Store on W. Trenton Avenue.  Value:  $52.44

Retail theft – 07/19/24 @ 13:36 – Report of merchandise stolen earlier in the day from the Giant Food Store on W. Trenton Avenue.  Value:  $183.94

Burglary – 07/21/24 @ 10:57 – Report of money stolen and significant damage at Dacey’s Pub on the 200 block of W. Philadelphia Avenue.  Value:  Over $12,000.00

Arrest/Borough Ordinance – 07/22/24 @ 02:02 – Rafael Valdez Baez, age 34, was cited for a Noise Ordinance at the Nebula Hookah Lounge on the 600 block of Crown Street.

Motor Vehicle Theft – 07/22/24 @ 07:10 – Report of a Honda Accord stolen from the 200 block of S. Washington Street.  Value:  $25,000.00

Fraud – 07/22/24 @ 09:50 – Report of check fraud for the Morrisville School District.  The check was sent to a recipient that was not received.  Check was intercepted in the mail, washed, rewritten and cashed.

Attempted Theft from Motor Vehicle – Report of a vehicle rummaged through on the 200 block of S. Washington Street, but nothing was taken.

Motor Vehicle Theft – 07/22/24 @ 19:57 – Report of a Hyundai Elantra stolen at an apartment complex on Plaza Boulevard.  A short time later it was recovered in a parking lot on N. Washington Street.
