A Croydon home was damaged in a Friday afternoon fire.
Croydon Fire Company, Station 11 was dispatched to Emily Avenue in Croydon just before 3 p.m. Chief Tom Tyron said.
Upon arrival fire fighters saw smoke cascading from the home’s basement windows.
The fire was kept at bay by spewing water line due to the heat from the fire, the chief said adding, the homeowner and her dog escaped with no injuries.
