An investigation is ongoing, sources tell Lower Bucks Source, as a Pennsylvania State Trooper was assaulted late Wednesday afternoon in Bensalem after a “police chase.”
The trooper is said to have suffered an undisclosed injury to the face.
Fox29.com says described it as a “laceration.” however Lower Bucks Source was unable to independently confirm that report.
As reported yesterday, tipsters to Lower Bucks Source, starting at 3:45 p.m., reported a heavy police presence at the well traveled intersection with detectives engaged in a grid search on both sides of 1-95 and along Bristol Pike and the under/overpass.

Bensalem Police are investigating a “high priority call” in the area of 1-95/Street Road Exit/Bristol Pike Wednesday evening.
Tipsters to Lower Bucks Source, beginning around 3:45 p.m., reported a heavy police presence at the well traveled intersection with detectives engaged in a grid search on both sides of 1-95 and along Bristol Pike and the under/overpass.

One person was seen placed into an ambulance just after 5:30 p.m. as police units shifted their focus onto the Bristol Pike underpass at Street Rd, with the scene called “cleared” at 5:58 p.m.
