Lower Makefield Twp Police Reports – Oct 4, 2024 – Oct 10, 2024

10/10/2024 – Retail Theft – 1600 block of Big Oak Rd. at Kohl’s reported at 10:02 a.m. Loss Prevention reported at three separate retail thefts of fragrances totaling $2,350. Investigation ongoing.

10/10/2024 – Fraud – 900 block of Roelofs Rd. reported at 11:10 a.m. Complainant reported receiving a text from someone they believed to be their bank advising them they needed to transfer money to recoup money from a purchase they made. The victim sent $10,700 to unknown persons.

10/10/2024 – Fraud – 2100 block of Yardley Rd. reported at 2:11 p.m. Complainant reported hiring a contractor in 2022 for home repairs, paying him $94,000, but the work has not been completed.

10/9/2024 – Theft – Unit block of Maplevale Dr. reported at 10:30AM. Complainant reported theft of political signs.

10/8/2024 – Retail Theft – 1600 block of Big Oak Rd. at Shop Rite reported at 12:45 p.m. Loss Prevention detained a 56 year old female from LMT for taking $168.69 worth of merchandise without paying. She was taken into police custody.

10/7/2024 – Drug Arrest – 500 block of W. Trenton Ave. reported at 2:59 p.m. Police on patrol stopped a vehicle for violations. Further investigation led to the discovery of crack cocaine. The 34 year old male from LMT was taken into police custody.

10/7/2024 – Wanted Person – Yardley Rd. & Sutphin Rd. reported at 4:27 p.m. Police on patrol stopped a vehicle for violations. A records check revealed the 38 year old male from Yardley Borough was wanted out of Lebanon County. He was taken into police custody and send to BCCF on the warrant.

10/7/2024 – Solicitors – 1200 block of Linden Ave. reported at 6:24 p.m. Complainant reported solicitor for Verizon in the area soliciting without a permit. They were advised to cease soliciting until a permit was obtained.

10/7/2024 – Burglary– Unit block of Dogwood Rd. reported at 8:42 p.m. Police responded to the report of a burglary not in progress. Complainant reported sometime between 7:40 a.m.-8:30 p.m., unknown person(s) entered through an unlocked rear door and removed $2,500 worth of jewelry.

10/6/2024 – Credit Card Fraud – Unit block of Sutphin Pines reported at 6:32 p.m. Complainant reported unauthorized use of their credit card in the amount of $5,200.

10/5/2024 – Retail Theft – 600 block Heacock Rd. at Fine Wine & Good Spirits reported at 3:07 p.m. Manager reported on 9/29, two unknown males entered the store and removed $82.64 worth of merchandise without paying.

10/4/2024 – Theft Arrest – 100 block of Taylorsville Rd. reported at 2:01 p.m. Police were flagged down by a passerby who stated an unknown male was on the side of the road cutting wires from the utility poles and a pickup truck being operated by a female sped off from the location. Police located the vehicle at Taylorsville Rd. & Mt. Eyre Rd. Police observed dozens of 4 foot sections of braided utility wire in the rear bed of the vehicle. The individuals admitted to attempting to scrap the copper inside the wire. They were taken into police custody. The 40 year old male from Levittown, PA was charged with Theft, Receiving Stolen Property, Possession of an Instrument of Crime, and related charges. The 51 year old female from Levittown, PA was charged with Theft, Receiving Stolen Property, Possession of Percocet and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. They were arraigned by District Justice Baranowski and sent to BCCF in lieu of $35,000/10% bond.
