Rep Brian Fitzpatrick (R) visited Bristol Borough to present checks totaling, $2.5 million to officials for two ongoing projects recently.
The funds are designated for the Maple Beach Road Improvement Project and Trenton Avenue sound barrier work, officials said.
Bristol Borough Mayor Ralph DiGuiseppe, alongside Council Vice President Betty Rodriguez, Councilwoman Lorraine Cullen, and Chief of Police Joe Moors, proudly accepted grant checks.
“The entire Bristol community extends its heartfelt thanks to Congressman Fitzpatrick for his continued support of Bristol Borough” a post on the municipalities Meta page says.
Borough officials announced the awarding of the sound barrier grant in July just before hiring Harrison Acoustics to conduct a sound study.
The Maple Beach Trail project was approved by council earlier this month a significant majority of the cost is covered by grants Bristol applied for and received.
