A New York City woman is in Bucks County Correctional Facility facing six felonies for her attempt to make a fraudulent withdrawal at a Morrisville bank.
Robyn Hayslett, 56, of New York City, has been charged by Morrisville Police on two counts of forgery, two counts of identity theft, two counts of unauthorized use of an access device, and related offenses for attempting to withdraw $2500.00 from the account of bank customer fraudulently.
According to the criminal complaint, Hayslett entered the Citizens Bank located on the 800 block of W.Trenton Avenue last Thursday around 1:30 p.m attempting to withdraw funds from an account with a Connecticut State I.D, with the suspects picture but a different name, and state issued number.
The bank manager, told police, there is an account in the name Hayslett fraudulently used but the state id number was wrong and the signed withdrawal slip did not match bank signature records so she confronted the woman who proceeded to flee on foot.
The manager pursued, Hayslett, following her outside of the bank waiting for police to arrive, according to court documents.
When officer Gary Zumpano was dispatched to the scene arriving shortly thereafter he met with bank officials and Hayslett in front of the financial institution.
Subsequent to taking the bank officials statement Morrisville Police searched the suspects personal belongings finding a counterfeit $100 bill, court records show.
Hayslett was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Corryn L. Kronnagel who set bail at 10 % of 10,000 scheduling her for a preliminary hearing on August 12.
Hayslett remains in Bucks County Jail according to online court records as of Monday morning.
