Lower Bucks County schools and school districts made their decisions to open/delay/close for Wednesday morning, February 12, in light of the winter storm that started to blanket the area with snow and rain late Tuesday.
Forecasters are calling for approximately up to 3 inches of snow for the area per the winter weather advisory issued Tuesday night by the National Weather Service.
Slippery road conditions will be a definite hazzard come the morning time commute with temperatures hovering at 29 degrees -reaching a high of 34 later in the day.
A combination of rain, snow, and sleet, becoming all rain after 8pm is expected for late Wednesday with now forecasted for Thursday.
As for Friday’s Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl Parade celebration NWS says it will be sunny, with a high near 37.

Bucks County Technical High School – (Click here for Facebook) – 2 Hour Delay – ATTENTION! – Due to the weather forecast, Bucks County Technical High School will be on a 2-hour delay Schedule for tomorrow February 12th. An additional message will be posted before 6 am as to whether this delay needs to be upgraded to a full-day closure should conditions warrant. Pennsbury School District – (Click here for Facebook page) – 2 Hour Delay –Due to the incoming snowstorm, the Pennsbury School District will operate on a 2-hour delay Wednesday morning. — PLEASE NOTE: This decision will be reevaluated during the overnight hours to determine the impact of the storm. If needed, any further changes, including the possible transition to a Remote Learning Day will be communicated around 7:00 a.m. Information is usually posted online before the phone call and email – Two-hour delay start times are as follows: Pennsbury High School: 9:20 am, Middle Schools: 10:10 am, Elementary schools: 11:00 am, and KidsCare opens at 9 am. Buses will arrive at stops two hours later than usual and school will begin two hours later than usual. Note to walking students: Some sidewalks and intersections may be difficult to cross.
