Bristol Township Police confirmed Tuesday morning there is a death investigation that was launched Monday at a local hotel.
Tipsters to Lower Bucks Source (LBS) noted police activity and the presence of a Bucks County Coroner’s vehicle at the now named Knights Inn Hotel, 1100 Green Lane in Bristol.
One tipser reported seeing coroner’s office personnel assisted by area first responders removing the body of an unidentified individual from a hotel room at an unspecified time.
Sgt. Jason Mancuso confirmed to LBS that a death investigation is currently active but released no additional details.
“There is a death investigation from yesterday at the Knight’s Inn. That is all I can say at this time,” Mancuso said.
The department has been targeted with fake news and social media reports on the internet in recent weeks for unknown reasons. Although the department and its officials have quickly responded to fake reports/posts and/or issued press releases on the topic, LBS sent an information request on the now confirmed the death investigation which was answered slightly slower than the usual response time by officials.
Police officials did not indicate if any new information will be released on the death investigation in the coming hours or days.
