Bensalem Township first responders were called out Tuesday morning for a hazardous materials incident that occurred in a lab at Veolia Water Technologies.
At approximately 8:45 am this morning Bensalem Township Fire Rescue and crews from the Bensalem Volunteer Fire Department responded to the water technology company on Somerton Road for a fire alarm activation, officials said.
Upon arrival first responders were advised of a hazardous materials incident that occurred in a lab that caused the fire alarm to be triggered. Crews evacuated the building command was established, said fire officials.
Hazmat Units from Bucks County and DOW Chemical Emergency Response team also responded to the scene.
Hazmat crews determined a reaction that caused the release was complete and the facility was turned back over to representatives from Veolia Water Technologies.

No injuries were reported.
