A Bristol Borough man created quite a stir last weekend in two separate incidents and has been charged with four summary offenses by police in the incidents.

Jason Jaworski, 43 of Bristol was cited twice each on consecutive nights last weekend for disorderly conduct – threatening to fight, public drunkenness, and a fighting  offense.

The first of the two summary offense was brought to light as a result of a fight Jaworski had with another man at the Green Lane Wawa forcing the manager to close the store and protect a young girl from becoming a collateral victim.

Jaworski took exception with another man “cutting” ahead of him in line at the check-out register, witnesses said.

The altercation forced the store manager to lead a young girl out of harm’s way as Jaworski allegedly threw items from the store shelves at the man with whom he was fighting.

The young girl’s mother, a Bristol resident, posted a message of thanks to the Wawa store manager for protecting her daughter while the melee ensued.

Bristol officers arrived on scene, taking Jaworski into custody and charging him with the first two fight related offenses, court records show.

On Sunday, police said, Jaworski was at Bristol Lions Park in the afternoon with a female companion when he allegedly urinated in the park. A witness called police reporting the incident adding he was swinging a hammer, threatening to attack officers with what was described as a sort of sledge hammer.

Jaworski, police said, was still angered about the incident at Wawa the night before and was de-escalated without further incident.

Police cited Jaworski by mail for both incidents and a hearing date has yet to be scheduled.

Calls to reach regional Wawa management about the proactive steps of the store manager were not returned as of Friday evening.
