Investigation into Bristol Borough High School Teacher/Wrestling Coach Remains at Standstill

Published

on

The Bristol Borough School District teacher who allegedly made inappropriate remarks to students remains at a standstill as of Friday afternoon with no conclusions made available by police or school district officials.

Brian Swift, who is a wrestling coach and teaches anatomy at Bristol Borough High School and was reportedly placed on administrative leave following the LBS story alleging he made sexually tinged remarks to students, will return to his teaching and coaching roles in the school district sources told the publication this week.

David Truelove, Solicitor for the school district said late last week the administration does not comment on employee matters. This is part of a long standing school district policy.

Police Chief Joe Moors did not respond to multiple requests from the publication for comment; the most recent was on Friday.

Swift also declined to respond to requests for comment about the allegations and whether or not he had hired an attorney to represent his interests.

School District officials have declined to comment since the story was published two weeks ago about the investigation into allegations in which Swift reportedly said to one student about a second, “I know you want to eat his/her goodies.”

There is at least one additional witness who heard the sexually tinged comment. However, according to sources, the witness has declined to speak at the behest of his/her parents or participate in the inquiry.

The same teacher, according to a “concerned parent,” allegedly pulled a student’s hair earlier this school semester.

Sources this week told Lower Bucks Source that students in Swift’s anatomy classes were asked to fill out a “positive – negative” list about their experiences with Swift as a teacher and their interactions with him.

Additionally school district officials were in the process of setting up discussions with one of the two students involved, however, nothing official has been scheduled as of last check this afternoon.

No charges have been filed to date by the Bristol Borough Police Department connected to the allegations made against Swift.

Requests for an update on the investigation assigned to Officer Elifa Soto have been met with absolute silence as the May municipal primary elections are only days away.

School Board President David Chichilitti declined to comment for this story, citing the school districts policy of commenting on employee-related items
