Bristol Borough Fire Companies were confronted with a potentially dangerous situation at a Bristol Borough home late Sunday night when gasoline was apparently and intentionally poured into several rooms of a Cedar Street home.
On 25 May at 11:25 p.m. Bristol Borough Fire Companies were dispatched to 234 Cedar St for a report of fumes inside a dwelling. Firefighters, upon arrival, found that gasoline appeared to have been poured in several rooms on the first floor, Fire Chief Herb Slack said.
Firefighters took actions to mitigate the hazard and reduce the fumes. The Bucks County Hazmat team was contacted to confirm appropriate actions required for the hazard, said fire officials.
Information gathered in response to the incident was turned over to the police department for additional action, Slack said
Neighbors living on the block said the person responsible for pouring the gasoline throughout the home was taken to a local mental health facility for evaluation. Lower Bucks Source has been unable to confirm that information.
Bristol Borough Police did not confirm or deny if charges are going to be filed at later date as of publication time.
