The Bristol Borough School District teacher accused of making sexually tinged inappropriate remarks to a student will return to his normal teaching duties at the high school in September, sources confirmed in recent weeks.
School district officials met with the student and parent Taylor Homan who filed the complaint with police in May accusing teacher Brian Swift of saying “I know you want to eat his/her goodies.”
Swift, who teaches anatomy and coached wrestling, was put on temporary leave while the police and school district investigated, sources said.
There is at least one additional witness who had heard the sexually tinged comment. However, according to sources, the witness declined to speak at the behest of his/her parents or participate in the inquiry because that parent works in a school district outside of Bristol and fears potential issues at their job.
Homan and the student met with school district officials after an internal investigation was completed, but the results were not made public earlier this month.
Solicitor for the school district David Truelove has been consistent on the topictelling Lower Bucks Source BBSD does not comment on employee matters as part of a long standing school district policy.
Homan to put it mildly was not pleased with the outcome of the inquiry by police and the school district.
“Basically they are calling my daughter a liar” she said.
Swift who declined the opportunity to comment for the publication;s original story, took to social media, in a highly irregular move, threatening the parent of the student with legal action if she did not cease and desist even though “no names were mentioned” in the article.
Homan replied, “is this post about you?”
One commenter in reply to Swift called his comments “a bad look.”

“I’m not happy. I think parting ways with the teacher would have been in the best interest of the school and the children at the school. Who is to say this incident isn’t going to happen again? They said so themselves (school district officials) there is truly no way to prevent this from happening aside from letting the teacher go and I guess because he’s union, they need to go through certain processes and this doesn’t fit whatever it needs to for him to be fired”
The interesting aspect of the situation in its entirety is that a significant majority of the voices, so to speak, that were a part of the investigative process are men, looking into claims made by a female student.
School Board President David Chichilitti declined to comment for this story, citing the school district’s policy of not commenting on employee-related matters.
Police Chief Joe Moors did not respond to multiple requests from the publication on the two prior stories published by Lower Bucks Source covering the allegations.
