Bristol Township Police on Wednesday issued a community warning about a “rash” of car thefts in the Levittown sections of the township.
“In the last 48 hours, Bristol Township Police have taken reports of 4 stolen vehicles in our Levittown sections. Key fobs were left in some of the vehicles and the vehicles were also unlocked. We were able to recover some of the vehicles with no damage. These thefts are occurring overnight,” Sgt Jason Mancuso said.
Police believe these thefts are related to individuals who are coming from Philadelphia and Trenton looking to steal certain model vehicles, said Mancuso.

“Extra patrols will be deployed and we are asking the public to call 911 if they observe suspicious activity in the early morning hours. Police are also stressing that everyone secures their key fob and make sure their vehicle is locked. It is very rare that locked vehicles are taken.”

Mancuso said the thefts occurred in the Appletree and Farmbrook sections of Levittown.
I really need to emphasize that if you lockup your car properly and report any suspicious activity you see by calling 911 we can get a handle on this. Be your own best witness. Don’t get involved and call us Mancuso said by phone moments ago.
It doesn’t matter what section or what kind of vehicle you own, Mancuso said, thieves when given the opportunity will steal any kind of car they can turn into money.
