Breaking News - Morrisville Borough

Morrisville Woman says it was to “F**K some S**t Up.” according to Police

Submitted: Kimberly Zimmerman charged with Arson

As reported by Lower Bucks Source – Bucks Digital Media, LLC first this past Friday, Kimberley Zimmerman was arrested and charged with two counts of Arson and one related offense,

Now, according to the affidavit of probable cause, Zimmerman told police she started the fire for retribution, alleging the person living in the mobile home owed her money.

As covered in previous stories, the fire last Monday was reported to officials around 8:35 a.m. Morrisville Police arrived on scene with flames showing from a back window.

Officers entered  the mobile home because 911 operators reported the possibility of a person being inside.

Morrisville Police Officers, including Chief George McClay, checked the structure  finding no one  inside, according to court documents while the motor home became fully engulfed.

Morrisville Fire Department, arrived shortly thereafter, knocking back the fire, police say in court documents, that was within a foot of anther vehicle and two feet of an occupied building.

Shortly after the fire was put down, a local business owner approached police with video surveillance footage, with the as yet identified Morrisville woman shown in it.

MPD in its efforts to identify the unknown subject at the time,  posted a press release to online platforms it employs asking the public for help in identifying the woman wearing a “Act Crazy” gray hoodie.

Police say a woman called headquarters, saying she was the individual in the surveillance images and agreed to be interviewed by police on Friday December 27.

Zimmerman spoke with investigators without an attorney present, court records show.

Zimmerman during the interview, according to court records, admitted to being the woman in the video footage captured, saying she was looking for the person who lived there, alleging she lent them money and wanted the funds paid back.

Police say Zimmerman told them she entered the motor home, didn’t find the person she was looking for, went back to her vehicle, sat for a few minutes then went back into the motor home to “take some s**t or f**k things up” in retribution for not being paid.

Shortly thereafter, the mobile home was engulfed in flames as she leaves smoking a cigarette, as seen on video surveillance.

Morrisville Police then placed the 32 year old woman under arrest and she is now currently in Bucks County Jail, in lieu of 10 percent of $75,000 Bail.

She is scheduled to appear in Morrisville District Court on January 7.
