A 39 year old woman was struck by a SUV in Fairless Hills early Tuesday morning in which she suffered minor injuries, police said.
The Falls Township Police Department is investigating a motor vehicle accident in which a pedestrian was struck and sent to a local hospital with minor injuries.
The preliminary investigation determined that on Tuesday, October 21, at approximately 6:45 a.m., a 17 year old male Fairless Hills resident was operating a Saturn SUV while stopped on Trenton Road for a red traffic signal. Once the light changed, the male turned left onto South Oxford Valley Road. While executing his turn, he struck a 39 year old female pedestrian, who is a resident of Fairless Hills, who was walking across Trenton Road in the crosswalk, Lt. Chris Clark said.
The female suffered minor injuries and was transported to Saint Mary Medical Center for evaluation and treatment said Clark.
Police said, alcohol, drugs or a medical emergency are not believed to be factors in causation.
