A watermain break at the intersection of Bath Street and Rt 13 in Bristol Borough reopened late Thursday after AQUA work crews made the needed repairs to shut down the gushing main.
The intersection was shut down at approximately 8:45 when the main burst spewing water onto Bath St, as far back as the underpass, locals said.
It didn’t take long before the sprayed water started to freeze up causing serious motorist hazards.
Bath St. from Buckley St. to Rt 13 was closed for hours as AQUA made the needed repairs to the main. This caused a minor inconvenience for motorists living along either side of Bath St during the early part of Thursday evening’s rush hour.
Borough officials confirmed Friday morning that Bath St is now open to motorist/pedestrian traffic.
