Sources: “It was a Drug Deal Gone Bad”

In the last week, two separate anonymous sources contacted Lower Bucks Source alleging the “Spring Street shooting” was a drug deal gone bad.

The shooting incident took place on  November 27 a little after 8 p.m.

As previously reported Bristol Borough Police said they found a male victim with a gunshot wound to his leg, after being dispatched for an EMS call on the 900 block of  Spring, in the vicinity of Jefferson Avenue..

One source said “He was set up by a person living not three minutes away from where they found him (the victim).” 

A second source, who shared the same information as the above, added, “He wasn’t shot outside. He was shot in someone’s apartment I’m telling you. “They set him up and everybody knows that” the source said. 

The apartment referred to resides within the Duchess Estates, which is located on 1015 Beaver Street and covers the entire block. 

There are 30 rental units within the complex, according to several popular apartment locator websites. 

LBS contacted Bristol Borough Police Chief, Steve Henry Thursday morning for comment. 

Henry said the investigation is open and active at this time and declined to confirm or deny the allegations made by the sources cited. 

At the time of the incident, police said, the assault took place in the area of Spring St and Jefferson Avenue adding, the victim was listed in stable condition at Franklin Jefferson Torresdale Trauma Unit
