Update: Residents Displaced Due to Tuesday Fire in Bristol



Update 7 a.m.
We’re still gathering details about last nights apartment fire on Farragut Avenue. There have been no reported injuries. Several people have been displaced and are now staying at local hotels, multiple sources report.
The cause of the fire has yet to be determined but lives have been “turned upside down” as one local put it.
Lastly, one victim of the fire said two men, went through the building knocking on doors to wake residents up, prior to fire companies arriving on scene.

Fire Crews from throughout Bristol and beyond are on scene at a blaze that appears to have broken out in apartments above a local bar in Bristol Borough Tuesday.
Fire can been seen pouring out of a second story window, with fire fighters, lined up across a ledge fighting flames and smoke back above Sadie’s Irish Pub on the 1600 block of Farragut Avenue.



Pictures taken show the smoky conditions and bravery of fire crews fighting flames as they attempt to evacuate tenants from the apartments above the pub reported shortly after midnight,
The building also is home to Black Sparrow Tattoo Studio and has several apartments as part of the structure.
