William McVey, Bensalem’s director of public safety in an update to the press said “We’re very thankful that nothing is leaking,” from the derailed train cars.
When the CSX train derailed 16 of the 72 cars toppled over, at around 2:15, officials said.
Evacuation and shelter-in-place orders have been lifted, officials said.
Bristol Road is closed from Old Lincoln Highway to Brownsville Road.
SEPTA said service has been suspended on the West Trenton Line, which operates nearby.
No word yet on the cause of the derailment
CSX officials will be responsible for the entire cleanup, Bensalem Police said.

A CSX train detailed in Bensalem Township Tuesday afternoon, with authorities ordering a Shelter in Place.
The derailment is between Brownsville Road & Old Lincoln Highway near the Neshaminy Falls train Station.
Bensalem Police, Fire, EMS, and County Hazmat Teams are currently on scene reporting there are five to 10 derailed freight cars.
Reports of the derailment started streaming in just before 3 p.m according to emergency services sources.
First responders are staging at Neshaminy Mall with a command center set up
So far no injuries have been reported.

“We are currently assessing the contents of the train cars and will send an update as soon as we have more information,” Bensalem authorities say.
Residents in the area are urged to stay away and shelter in place until new information becomes available.
