Bristol Borough Chief of Police Joe Moors said Wednesday evening that there is “no threat to public safety connected to the police activity” earlier today in Bristol.

Moors said he could not release any additional information about what he called “police activity” at two homes in the area of Penn and Wood Streets.

Officers from multiple law enforcement agencies were seen swarming the area around 10 am.

Moors declined to say what agencies are involved with the “police activity.”

Borough residents who asked not to be identified said several K-9 units were part of what many described as a raid searching in and around the premises of two homes.

Police were seen speaking with two unidentified men.

Moors said he could not confirm or deny that report and reiterated there is no active threat to citizens related to the heavy police presence.

As of 5:50 pm a review of the online court system shows no arrests were made by the Police.
