Updated 11:10 a.m.
The standoff with police on the 400 block of Radcliffe Street ended peacefully moments ago with an unidentified man surrendering himself to the Bucks County South Central Emergency Response Team.
It is unclear at this time if the circumstances surrounding the standoff are mental health related or not. There are a number of conflicting reports as to what allegedly ignited the early Tuesday morning incident. Police would only say a man barricaded himself and the area is contained around 9:30 am.
Bristol authorities closed a section of Radcliffe Street Tuesday morning around 6:45 a.m. due to police activity.
Students, staff, and parents received alerts around 7:45 a.m. to stay clear of the 400 block of Radcliffe Street from the Bristol Borough School District.
Moments later the same alert was issued to Bristol residents from the Nixle Emergency Alert System.
Police from neighboring municipalities and the Bucks County South Central Emergency Response Team are assisting on scene.
