Update: Drive By Shooting in Birch Valley, Subject in Custody, One Injured

Update 8 p.m 

Investigators on the scene have told reportedly residents of the Birch Valley community that a subject has been arrested in connection with Sunday evenings “drive-by”shooting ” that occurred around 4 p.m with one man being treated for a gunshot wound to his upper arm area (original story below).

A second source, who asked not to be identified, observed medics treating the mans wounds in front of Buttonwood Lane residence where gun fire was reportedly exchanged. What appears to be evidence markers for shell casings are seen scattered in images sent exclusively to Lower Bucks Source a short time ago. 

Falls Township Police have yet to reply to requests for comment on the shooting at press time. No arrests have been logged in the county online court system as of 8 p.m.  Lower Bucks Source will continue to update this story as more information becomes available. 

Original Story

Falls Township Police are on the scene in the Birch Valley section of Levittown for a reported drive by shooting that happened within the last hour with one alleged shooting victim. 

Neighbors reported hearing the the shots  in the area of Barberry and Buttonwood Lanes in the Birch Valley section of the township. 

“We live behind… the house that got shot up”, a neighbor posted.

Witnesses on the scene saw a vehicle prior to leaving the scene of the “drive by” pictured to the left.

One area resident posted an image of what appears to be a light colored SUV ( pictured) saying the shooter was in that vehicle and it was described as having no license plates.

Investigators on the scene set up crime scene tape blocking off access to the area. 

A subsequent social media post on the Birch Valley Community Watch Page, alleges one individual was shot in the arm, and the residence in question was “shot up.”

This is a developing story with updates expected.
