A Morrisville man driving recklessly, screaming at other motorists in the area of a traffic accident led police on a chase, struck another vehicle, and now he is a wanted man by Falls Township Police.

Robert Hoenigke 60 of  Morrisville is wanted by Falls Township Police on charges for fleeing, reckless endangerment, accident involving damages and 13  additional summary offenses.

According to Falls Twp Police at approximately 4:50 p.m. on Tuesday  Corporal Ryan Murphy was dispatched to the intersection of West Trenton Ave and Big Oak Road, Morrisville, to investigate a third-party report of a hit and run traffic accident.  When he arrived in the area, he observed a red Dodge Challenger, which was not involved in the original accident investigation, stopped at a green light. The Challenger then proceeded through the intersection and drove into oncoming traffic almost striking another vehicle head-on.

The driver of the Challenger was screaming at the vehicles that it almost hit, Lt Chris Clark said.

Murphy attempted to stop the Challenger however it began to pass vehicles into oncoming traffic at high speeds on West Trenton Avenue.  The Challenger then went onto US Route 13 South where it was fleeing at a high rate of speed, police said. The Challenger ultimately made its way onto North Oxford Valley Road where it attempted to pass traffic on the shoulder and struck another uninvolved vehicle that was trying to clear the roadway. The motorist of the struck vehicle report no injuries, Clark said.

The pursuit was terminated when the Challenger turned onto a highly populated Route 1 South. Based on a subsequent investigation police determined the vehicle operator was Hoenigke. A felony arrest warrant was obtained at 8:00 p.m last night for Hoenigke, said Clark.

Earlier this month Hoenigke was cited by Falls Twp Police for unreasonable noise -disorderly conduct according to online court records.
