Lower Makefield Township Police arrested a 21-year old Philadelphia man charging him with felony counts of fleeing, receiving stolen property, seven counts of reckless endangerment, and eight other related offenses connected to last nights police chase that ended in Morrisville Borough when Jaylen Wright collided with a SUV filled with passengers Thursday night.
On -Call District Judge Corryn L. Kronnagel arraigned Wright at 4 a.m. this morning and remanded him to Bucks County Correctional Facility setting bail at 10 percent of $175,000.00 Wright’s next court appearance is December 12 at Morrisville District Court.

An SUV with a family of at least five in it crossing into Morrisville from the Calhoun Street Bridge was slammed into by a man being chased by police Thanksgiving night sending nine victims to area hospitals.
The crash just beyond the mouth of the bridge on N. Pennsylvania Ave was declared a mass casualty event, first responder sources told Lower Bucks Source at 8:30 p.m. minutes after the collision.
Morrisville Borough Chief of Police Rich Ciampa said the incident originated out of Lower Makefield and they are leading investigation.
The suspect’s vehicle struck several cars during the chase, tipsters said, operating the vehicle without the driver-side front tire, resulting in losing control of the vehicle before the crash impact as he was trying to negotiate a turn. He fled on foot with officers catching him along Delmorr Ave. and quickly whisking him away for questioning, tipsters said.
Initial reports from multiple sources said the police pursuit out of the Yardley /Lower Makefield area started around 7:35 p.m. of a reported stolen vehicle.
One witness said the suspect with police close behind, circled the streets adjacent Pennsylvania Ave at least three times.
The Calhoun St bridge remained closed for about one hour, on scene Emergency Services Reporter Ron Roberts said.
Attempts to reach Lower Makefield authorities were unsuccessful as of publication time Friday.
