Updated: Murder, Death by Suicide in Lower Makefield

Updated 6  p.m  Two men are dead stemming from a shooting incident in Lower Makefield on Friday. 

According to police, Brian Moyer, 59, was found dead in an apartment in The Edge at Yardley apartments on Cornerstone Drive off of Township Line Road.  It was Moyer, police say  who shot and killed another man shortly before 12:30 p.m. 

Reports of the shooting circulated  throughout the area as law enforcement arrived on scene the finding a man dead in a the apartment complex walkway with gun shot wounds to his face and body, Lower Makefield Police Chief Kenneth D. Coluzzi said in a news release.

Police have yet to identify the shooting victim as of Friday night.

Law enforcement sources said shortly after 4:30 p.m. Bucks County SWAT team members entered Moyer’s apartment, where they found him dead from a self inflicted gun shot wound. 

Friday night authorities executed search warrants on Moyer’s apartment as they continued to interview witinesses and try and make sense out the days violence.

Bucks  County Swat in tactical gear with with local law enforcement agencies are on the scene  responding to a active shooter situation, in Lower Makefield Township.

Lower Makefield Police say one person was found dead at The Edge at Yardley apartments, on Cornerstone Drive off of Township Line Road.

Sources on the ground say police are still searching for the shooter but  one law enforcement source said Bucks County SWAT has broken a window of an apartment at the complex and is employing a search robot where authorities believe the shooter is alleged to be hiding 

Details are scarce presently, but the area is cornered off at either end of Township Line Rd with authorities asking the public to stay clear of the area.
