Bensalem Fire & Rescue Adds 4 Career Firefighters; Reviews 2025 Successes

Bensalem Township Public Safety officials announced four career firefighters have been added for 2026 as part of a review of 2025 services.

Bensalem Township Fire Rescue Department said recently of its career and volunteer departments responded to over 2,000 calls and 120 critical EMS calls.

Officials said the department inspected over 3,500 businesses, and through our fire prevention programs, educated more than 9,000 members of the community on fire safety and prevention.

The fire rescue department has also announced some changes for this year. As the career department will expand with new operating hours from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

During the new schedule, Bensalem Fire and Rescue will work with the Bensalem Volunteer Fire Department to ensure continuous coverage for the community, said public safety officials.

“Along with this growth, we are proud to welcome four new firefighters who will be starting very soon,” officials said. “This expansion will allow us to provide quicker response times, enhanced service, and continued commitment to quality fire prevention education.”
