Bensalem Township Police announced the arrest of a local man for attempting to wreck state Rep K.C. Tomlinson’s office and threatening staffers, as previously reported by Lower Bucks Source Friday morning.

According to a Bensalem Twp Police press release, 65-year-old Donald Ambrose was charged with terroristic threats, harassment, and disorderly conduct. Ambrose was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Joseph P. Falcone, who set bail at 10% of $200,000.00. He was subsequently remanded to Bucks County Correctional Facility.

Police say on June 9, 2026, officers responded to the office of state Representative K.C. Tomlinson, located at 2424 Bristol Road for the report of a disorderly person.

Through investigation, police said, it was determined Ambrose entered the office and became disorderly.

Ambrose began removing paperwork from office desks and throwing it around before making threats toward staff and leaving the office, Bensalem authorities said.

According to the probable cause, during the encounter Ambrose allegedly retrieved a gas can from the trunk of his vehicle invoking fear among Tomlinson’s office staff thinking  he was going to set the state elected official’s office on fire.

Ambrose left the area prior to police arrival but was later located and taken into custody, police said. He is due back in court on June 18 to answer to the charges.

No additional information regarding this incident will be provided by Bensalem authorities at this time, officials said.

Ambrose, according to state and county records, is a registered Republican.
