Bensalem Police are investigating a Monday night robbery at a Wawa in which the suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of money

The robbery, Sgt Glenn Vandergrift said, took place just after 9:30 pm when a white male wearing all black clothing and a black mask handed a store clerk a note that read “I have a gun” demanding money from the register, at the 4662 Bensalem Boulevard location.

The suspect then fled the area running south on Bensalem Blvd, Police said.

“A search of the area was conducted by officers and a K-9 team but the actor was not located” Vandergrift said

Social media posts about police activity at the Wawa location last night were noted on social media with commenters saying the story was closed but did not elaborate on the specifics of the activity.

This is an active investigation and no further information will be provided at this time, Vandergrift  said.
