Bensalem Police Seek Armed Robbers in Tobacco Shop Robbery

Bensalem Police are seeking two men connected to armed robbery that left one man shot last Friday night.  

According to Bensalem Authorities, the robbery shooting took place at the First Stop Cigarettes & Cigars store on the 900 block of Bristol Pike  9 p.m. last Friday night.

Police said in a release Tuesday night, that a black man, about 6 feet tall wearing a grey sweat shirt, black pants and shoes entered the store displaying a black revolver handgun. The suspect pointed his gun at a store employee demanding money, firing off one shot hitting the employee in the chest, police said. 

Social Media posts early Saturday morning said described the shooting victim as an “older gentleman” who is called “Uncle” by store regulars and the community. 

The injured man was taken to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, underwent surgery and is expected to survive his injuries officials said.

Bensalem authorities say that the first man is seen leaving the cigarette shop meeting a second man who was waiting outside.

The two men, police say, are last seen walking into the parking lot of Grandview Gardens Apartments Complex, which is next to the store that was robbed. 

The second suspect is wearing a light colored shirt, dark pants and white sneakers police said.
