Bensalem Police are looking for a man who is accused of assaulting a SEPTA Bus driver last month
According to Bensalem authorities the incident occurred on June 28 at 9:20 p.m. t the intersection of Rt. 1 South and Bristol Road.
An unknown male operating a possible silver Toyota Hatchback, drove around the bus, parked in front of it, exited his vehicle and began yelling at the bus operator, police said
The suspect then approached the bus, punched the glass window, reached in and slapped the driver in the face, police said.
The unknown male then returned to his vehicle and fled the area traveling Westbound on Bristol Rd.
According to a March report published by BillyPenn “assaults against SEPTA employees happen with unfortunate regularity. In 2020, the transit authority counted 174 instances of verbal or physical assault and have been rising since the onset of the pandemic.
