On Thursday,  October 2, 2025, at 9:11 p.m., Bensalem Police responded to the report of an armed subject and a shooting at the Knights Inn Motel on Route 1.  Upon arrival, the police spoke with the caller, who stated that something had struck and shattered the rear side window of his vehicle while he was driving through the parking lot.  Another witness said that he saw a black male fire two shots from a gun while standing in the parking lot, a public safety spokesperson said

Police discovered that the shooter returned to room 185 at the motel, which was registered under the name of Steven Kilcrest, 38, Knorr Street, Philadelphia, PA.  While police were gathering information, Steven Kilcrest exited the hotel room unarmed and was detained by police.
