Bensalem Hotel Homicide Suspect in Custody, Authorities Say

Bucks County authorities are actively investigating a shooting death they are calling a homicide Thursday morning and have a suspect in custody.

Investigators said Wednesday the homicide occurred at the Sleep Inn on Street Road, Bensalem, in the early morning hours.

The homicide suspect is in custody at the Trenton Police Department at this time.  The victim and suspect’s identity are awaiting confirmation and will be provided once confirmation has been made. No other information will be released at this time.

The investigation started when the Pennsylvania State Police in Trevose received information that a homicide may have occurred at a hotel/motel in Bensalem.  Police began a thorough search of hotels in the area of Route 1 that led to the discovery of an unidentified deceased female in a room at the Sleep Inn.

This active investigation is coordinated between the Bensalem Township Police Department, the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office, the Pennsylvania State Police, and the Trenton Police Department.

Attempts by this publication to discover the suspects name overnight were unsuccessful as of 5:50 am Thursday.
