The Bensalem Volunteer Fire Department wants you!
That was message the now officially formed and in operation fire department said in a media release last week.
“We’re excited to announce the Bensalem Volunteer Fire Department (BVFD) has launched a 24/7/365 staffing stipend program to ensure we keep at least one apparatus (Engine, Ladder, or Rescue) ready to serve our community at all times. This is a great opportunity to be part of a dedicated team committed to protecting Bensalem Township!”
What is being offered:
Township-wide operations and teamwork.
Comprehensive training provided to ensure you’re ready to respond to the call.
Flexible shift options: 8 AM–1 PM, 1 PM–6 PM, 6 PM–11 PM, and 11 PM–7 AM.
Stipend offered
A supportive and aggressive department full of like-minded individuals passionate about fire service.
Requirements:
Pro-Board Firefighter 1 Certification.
Pro-Board Hazmat Operations Certification.
Physical and background check- the fire company will assist with the process.
Not certified yet? No problem!
BVFD is also looking for members willing to respond to their local firehouses, and all the necessary training to help you become a firefighter will be provided.
