Bensalem Police Department Gets New K-9 Thanks to Sponsor

The Bensalem Police Department’s K-9 unit recognized Linda Morrin for her sponsoring the purchase of the unit’s newest member K-9 Taz.

According to a press release from Bensalem PD,  Morrin sponsored the purchase K-9 Taz, a patrol and drug detector dog who will be handled by Officer Tom Martinka.

Taz was purchased in honor of Morrin’s dad, Edward “Red” Myers. Myers, a Navy veteran who passed away at age 91, always gave back to his community, and was a big fan of the K-9 demonstrations the department would host during National Night Out.

With the donation, Bensalem’s K-9 unit is once again up to 6 dogs.
