A car crash that took out a street light pole among an array of power lines shut down Street Road in Bensalem Twp for hours with it just reopening around 5 a.m. Tuesday morning.
Firefighters from the Bensalem Township Volunteer Fire Company -Station 65 shut down Street Rd between Mechanicsville and Knights roads in both directions around 5:30 p.m. as they responded to what appears to be a single vehicle crash, in proximity to Castle Drive and Street Rd.

Fire officials on scene described the accident as a “serious” warning to the community that the section of Street Rd would be closed for an extended period of time.
Locals living and working close by reported lights flickering or going off for short periods of time.
