Fire Destroys Bristol Home, One Person Taken to the Hospital, Fire Marshal Investigating

A late night fire destroyed a Bristol Borough home, sent one person to the hospital, and is under investigation by the Bucks County Fire Marshal’s Office.

First responders were dispatched just  before 1 am to the 200 Block of Buckley Street  where police found heavy smoke conditions  on the second floor and the home evacuated officials said.

Fire heavily damaged  a middle bedroom on the second floor and was confined there said Borough Fire Chief Herb Slack.

Two 1.75 inch hose lines were placed in service and the fire was placed under control at 01:21 with companies remaining in service for extensive overhauling, he said.

One resident was transported to the hospital, and The Red Cross was contacted to assist two of the occupants with temporary housing.  There were no firefighter injuries Slack said

The Bucks County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause and origin of the fire, officials said.
